ABOUT DONNA
Donna Dufault has over 20+ years of experience working in the photography industry. She has a BFA degree in Fine Art Photography from Rochester Institute of Technology. She has worked at some of the best photographic printing labs in the country and worked with some of the top art photographers in the world. This experience coupled with years of gallery experience, running art marketing groups, curating shows, and co-coordinating photo workshops has given her a unique perspective into the fine art photography world.
The last 15+ years she has been working as a photographer side by side with her husband, Scott Erb, in their commercial advertising photography business, Erb/Dufault Photography – www.erbphoto.com. Where they specialized in Food and Hospitality Photography.
Both were founding partners in the endeavor, Foodies of New England Magazine, which they started in Oct 2012 with a small group of friends. (now defunct) The magazine was in over 2500+ locations for sale all over New England. They loved being the photographers for Foodies of New England Magazine and they have had many, many culinary adventures. With their speciality being in Food and Hospitality Photography, they continue to travel and photograph amazing foods, chefs, and locations all over the country.
Much of Donna’s work is derived from these adventures and is significantly influenced by the amazing chefs, unique items seen along the way, and places she has visited over the years.
Special Announcement 2023:
After an incredible two decades + of building relationships with amazing local clients, Scott and Donna have decided it’s time to travel the country. So, They recently sold their home and studio and have been embarking on an adventure that could last a year or more!
Yes! They are still doing photography from the road. As well as offering workshops. So
If you know anyone who needs a traveling brand ambassador or looking for headshots or portraits, or maybe you know someone in another city that could be a great connection for them, they kindly ask that you please keep them in mind and introduce them! They appreciate any recommendations.

Guess what we are doing in Portland OR tomorrow night?? We’re excited to be sharing our love of photography with the talented artists of the CMAG this week!
We’ll be diving into how to photograph their stunning pieces in the best light (literally), sharing tips on lighting, styling, and how to make their work shine in photos—whether using a smartphone or a full pro setup.
These workshops are some of our favorite things to do. We love helping fellow artists feel more confident in capturing their creations. After all, this art deserves to be seen and celebrated beautifully.

The Struggle Between Focus and That View…
Working on my Finds Project today—laptop open, ideas flowing… and Lake Powell just right there, shimmering and distracting like the ultimate siren song.
It’s a beautiful kind of tension: wanting to dive deep into creative work while also wanting to dive straight into that water. But it’s only 51 degrees so maybe next month! Lol
But here’s the thing—I think the view is part of the process. The rhythm of the water flow, the open space, the changing light—it all seeps in and shapes what I make. Nature keeps me grounded and inspired, even when it’s teasing me away from my to-do list.
How do you stay focused when the world outside your window is this beautiful? Or do you just give in and call it “research”?

It’s the kind of morning where the shadows fall soft and slow. The world feels hushed, like it knows something beautiful is about to happen—and I have that familiar tug in my chest: Go. Find it.
I don’t know exactly where I’ll end up, but I don’t exactly know what I’m looking for. Not a grand vista. Not a tourist moment.
So I gather my tools—camera, lenses, and let intuition be the map. I’m not chasing perfection. I’m seeking the poetry in finds that don’t try too hard to be seen.
What I’m after is a story waiting in silence, one I can frame with love and reverence. The kind of scene where all I have to do is pay attention.

This morning I sat at the edge of a cliff, journal in hand, wind curling around me like an old friend. Below, the desert stretched wide and silent—Lone Rock rising from the earth like some ancient sentinel.
There’s something about writing in a place like this that makes everything feel more... The pages hold a kind of sacred weight when you’re surrounded by stillness and space. I didn’t write anything profound—just how the light shifted across the sand, how the cliffs held stories older than time, how small I felt…
